THE HL24 CNC — DESIGNED FOR THE MODERN WHEEL
Since 2015, we have been developing and manufacturing specialist CNC technology for the professional alloy wheel refurbishment industry. The HL24 CNC represents the next generation of our alloy wheel diamond-cutting technology, combining precision CNC machining with intelligent software, advanced monitoring, operator protection and, for 2027, a completely
new level of documentation and traceability.

Designed specifically for professional wheel refurbishment, the HL24 gives operators the ability to machine increasingly complex wheel designs accurately, consistently and efficiently — while providing the information and tools needed to monitor, document and demonstrate the work carried out.

SKU: HL24 Category:

THE HL24 DOESN’T JUST CUT THE WHEEL.
It measures it. It machines it. It monitors it. It records it. It documents it. And now, it can certify it.

Modern alloy wheels are becoming increasingly complex. Deep-dish profiles, intricate faces, sculpted surfaces, sharp transitions and return edges all demand greater control from a CNC wheel lathe. The HL24 has been developed specifically to meet those challenges. Its advanced CNC system allows the operator to plot and machine the wheel profile, including the ability to cut around the outer edge of the rim within one plotted programme.

The HL24 can also plot and cut 90° return edges, providing the flexibility required to reproduce complex wheel profiles and factory-style finishes. This is not simply a machine for skimming the face of an alloy wheel. It is a complete CNC machining system designed around the demands of modern alloy wheel refurbishment.

HORIZONTAL CNC LATHE DESIGN
The HL24 is purpose-built as a horizontal CNC lathe, with the wheel mounted on the left-hand side of the CNC machining area. This configuration has been specifically developed around the requirements of professional alloy wheel refurbishment, providing a practical and controlled machining arrangement. The wheel is securely mounted in the 12-inch chuck, providing a stable platform for precision machining across the full range of supported wheel sizes. The horizontal design, combined with the servo-driven X and Z axes, precision linear guides, wireless probing and advanced anti-crash protection, provides the foundation for controlled and repeatable CNC wheel machining.

ONE PLOT. ONE PROGRAMME. COMPLETE CONTROL.
One of the key advantages of the HL24 is its ability to plot and machine complex profiles within a single programmed operation. The operator can create a cutting profile from the actual wheel and then use that information to control the machining process. Even more importantly, the HL24 provides the ability to modify the plotted profile while cutting. This gives the operator greater control when dealing with localised damage or unusual wheel profiles, allowing adjustments to be made without unnecessarily machining areas of the wheel that do not require further cutting. The result is a more flexible and controlled machining process.

ADVANCED ANTI-CRASH PROTECTION

The HL24 incorporates an advanced anti-crash system, designed to provide an additional layer of protection during machining. For operators working with unfamiliar or complex wheel designs, this provides greater confidence when setting up and running a job. The system is designed to help minimise the risk of unexpected machine movements and potential collisions,
helping operators achieve reliable results while protecting the machine, tooling and wheel.

PRECISION ENGINEERING
The HL24 has been engineered as a professional production CNC machine. Precision linear guides and bearings provide controlled axis movement, while refined drive systems deliver smooth and accurate machining.
• X and Z servo-driven axes
• Precision linear guides and bearings
• 12-inch chuck
• 5.5 kW main motor
• 360 mm X-axis travel
• 500 mm Z-axis travel
• 4-way tool post
• Automatic lubrication
• Fully enclosed safety guarding
• 12″–24″ wheel capacity
• 15″ touchscreen control
• Horizontal CNC lathe configuration
• Left-hand wheel mounting position
The result is a machine designed to deliver repeatable machining performance in a professional refurbishment
environment.

WIRELESS WHEEL PROBING
The HL24 incorporates a wireless probing system, allowing the wheel profile to be measured accurately before machining. Rather than relying solely on manual measurements or assumptions about the original wheel profile, the machine can measure the actual wheel and use that information within the CNC process. This is particularly valuable when working with complex or unusual wheel designs.

NEW FOR 2027 — A NEW LEVEL OF DOCUMENTATION & TRACEABILITY
For 2027, we have taken the HL24 beyond conventional CNC machining. The latest generation now incorporates an integrated technology package designed to monitor, record and
document the machining process.

INTEGRATED HD CCTV RECORDING
The 2027 HL24 is equipped with an integrated high-definition CCTV system that records the machining process. A dedicated high-definition viewing screen provides the operator with a clear view of the machining area while the machine is operating.

The CCTV recording also creates a visual record of the work being carried out. This provides workshops with greater visibility and an additional level of traceability throughout the machining
process.

INTEGRATED SCREEN RECORDING
The HL24 also features an integrated screen recording system capable of recording the machine’s control-screen
activity.

Diagnostics
When technical issues arise, recorded machine operation can help technicians understand what happened during a machining cycle. This can assist with fault diagnosis and technical support.
Training
Screen recordings can also be used as a valuable training resource. Operators can review programming procedures, machine settings and operating sequences, helping new technicians learn the HL24 system and allowing experienced operators to revisit specific processes. The result is a machine that can effectively show and record both the physical machining process and the CNC operation.

NEW FOR 2027 — WHEEL PROFILE CERTIFICATE
Perhaps the most significant development for 2027 is the new Wheel Profile Certificate function. The HL24 can record the wheel profile shape and the material removed during the machining process. This information can then be used to produce a printable certificate that can be provided to the customer. The certificate provides a professional record of the machining process and can demonstrate:
• The original wheel profile
• The machined profile
• The material removed during machining
• The resulting profile following the repair
This creates a completely new level of transparency between the refurbishment workshop and its customer. Instead of simply returning a repaired wheel, the workshop can provide a documented record of the work performed.

MEASURE. MACHINE. RECORD. CERTIFY.
The HL24 can now provide a tangible record of the machining process that the customer can retain.

WHEEL COUNTER & SERVICE INTERVAL MONITORING
The 2027 HL24 also incorporates an integrated wheel counter, allowing workshops to monitor the number of wheels processed by the machine.
The wheel counter can provide useful information for:
• Monitoring daily production
• Tracking overall machine utilisation
• Monitoring operator productivity
• Maintaining production records
• Supporting workshop management and planning
The HL24 also incorporates service interval monitoring, helping workshops keep track of scheduled machine maintenance. By monitoring machine usage and service intervals, workshops can plan routine maintenance more effectively and help ensure that important servicing requirements are not overlooked. Together, the wheel counter, service monitoring and machining documentation provide greater visibility of machine usage, production and maintenance.

DESIGNED AROUND THE OPERATOR
Technology is only useful when it is easy to operate. The HL24 has been designed around the technician, with an intuitive control system and straightforward job setup. The machine’s touchscreen interface, automatic functions, probing system and anti-crash technology combine to make complex CNC wheel machining more accessible to operators. The lower-level technician bench also improves accessibility around the machine and has been designed with the practical requirements of a busy wheel refurbishment workshop in mind.

A MORE CONNECTED WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The 2027 HL24 also introduces an integrated Bluetooth speaker system. The integrated audio system allows operators to connect Bluetooth devices while working, adding another practical
feature to the modern workshop environment.

BUILT FOR PRODUCTIVITY
The HL24 has been developed for professional workshops where productivity, accuracy and consistency are essential. For a beginner or less experienced operator, a typical starting output is approximately 16 wheels per day. As operators gain experience and become more familiar with the machine, wheel designs and machining processes, productivity can increase significantly, with experienced operators capable of achieving 40+ wheels per day, depending on wheel design, damage, preparation, programming and the individual machining cycle. The objective is not simply to process more wheels. It is to provide operators with the technology, control and information needed to achieve consistent, repeatable and professional results while maintaining control over the machining process.
